Why Magnesium Glycinate
Not all magnesium is the same.
If you've ever tried magnesium and felt nothing — or worse, ran for the bathroom — chances are you took the wrong form. There are at least seven types of magnesium sold as supplements, and they behave very differently inside your body.
Why glycinate wins
- Highest bioavailability of the well-tolerated forms. Magnesium glycinate (also called magnesium bisglycinate) is bound to the amino acid glycine, which carries it efficiently through your gut wall.
- Gentle on the stomach. Unlike magnesium oxide or citrate at high doses, glycinate doesn't pull water into the bowel. No urgency, no discomfort.
- Calming, not stimulating. The glycine itself acts as an inhibitory neurotransmitter, which is part of why glycinate is the form most people associate with better sleep and lower stress.
Why we paired it with KSM-66®, turmeric and B6
Magnesium glycinate is the foundation. The other three actives in Nuvra build on it:
- KSM-66® Ashwagandha (500 mg) — standardised root extract, traditionally used to help the body adapt to mental and physical stress.
- Turmeric root extract 10:1 (200 mg) — supports everyday recovery and helps you not feel 80 after a hard week.
- Vitamin B6 (2 mg) — the co-factor that makes magnesium and amino acid metabolism actually work. Most magnesium products skip it. We didn't.
Two small vegan capsules. Once a day. With breakfast. That's the protocol.
